Mivaan Health Care Services was founded on the conviction that high-quality, dignified home care should be accessible to every Ohioan. With 20+ years of social work experience, Gilbert Fuanya built Mivaan to bridge the gap between clinical competence and genuine human connection.
With over 20 years of experience in social work and human services, Gilbert Fuanya has dedicated his career to advocating for vulnerable populations across Ohio. His work has spanned community mental health centers, developmental disability services, senior care programs, and family intervention services.
Gilbert founded Mivaan Health Care Services LLC after witnessing firsthand the gap between what Ohio families needed and what the existing care market was delivering care that was often transactional, inconsistent, and disconnected from the real lives of the people it was meant to serve.

Certified DD Provider
Certified by Ohio DODD to deliver waiver-funded services statewide, enabling us to support individuals enrolled in the IO Waiver, Level 1 Waiver, and SELF Waiver programs.
Background-Screened Team
All caregivers undergo criminal background checks, abuse registry screening, CPR/First Aid certification, and complete Mivaan’s proprietary onboarding training before their first shift.
Medicaid Enrolled
We are enrolled as an Ohio Medicaid provider, enabling eligible clients to receive our services through Medicaid-funded programs with minimal out-of-pocket cost.
Ongoing QA Program
Regular supervisory visits, client satisfaction surveys, incident review, and care plan updates ensure our services remain safe, effective, and aligned with each client’s evolving needs.
Fully Bonded & Insured
Mivaan carries comprehensive general liability and professional liability insurance, as well as workers’ compensation coverage for all employees giving families complete peace of mind.
